As the Student Stewards Program (SSP) Outreach Coordinator VISTA, you will focus on community outreach and marketing of the Parks Foundation's youth educational programs and events including the Student Stewards Program, Junior Naturalist Program (JNats) and seasonal Science Camps As our VISTA, you will be an essential member of the team for this young non-profit organization. You will help develop a wellness-focused marketing and outreach plan for TMPF's youth educational programs and events including the Student Stewards and Junior Naturalist Programs.

Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is a private nonprofit that was incorporated in 2012 and received its 501(c)(3) determination in 2013. The Parks Foundation protects and enhances our communities' livability through public engagement, education, and the sustainability of our parks, open spaces, and trails.

Current programs focus on improving community health and wellness and developing people's appreciation for the natural and cultural history found in local parks. A special emphasis is placed on increasing access to free programming for low income community members in order to improve education and health outcomes for people living in poverty. Member Duties : Maintain and further develop a community-focused marketing and outreach plan;Update best outreach practices and SOP via email newsletter, press release, social media marketing, advertising, video production and more; Foster community partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizations; Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with school classroom participants; Design and publish social media content to promote and share impacts; Share live updates from programs through various social media channels;Gather and analyze data from all SSP programs; Support updates and maintenance of the Parks Foundation youth program website pages with essential programming information and updates; Manage inquiries from youth program families and participants; Develop and implement advertising campaigns across several social media platforms; Encourage awareness, appreciation, and stewardship
