The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment program coordination, including coordination and support of certain invitational programs of the Office of Admissions, as well as some others in conjunction with the Division of Enrollment Management. Coordinates communication with the high school and independent counseling communities. Also responsible for admissions recruitment, counseling, outreach and application review.

Represent the University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and territories, including travel to distant sites in the state of South Carolina and nationally.
