Job Title: Student Services Director
Term of Employment: 12 months
Salary: $50, 232.00-$102,924.00 (Based upon the state salary schedule)
Reports to: Chief Officer (TBD)
Description: To plan, direct, and review the activities and operations of the student services department, including counseling and guidance, school psychology, school social work, dropout prevention and school nurses'; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the assistant superintendent for instructional services.
Qualifications:
Principles and practices of curriculum development.
Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation.
Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations.
General programs, policies, and practices used in educational organizations.
Organizations and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operations.
Interpret and apply federal, state, and school system policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Select, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff.
Prepare and administer the department's budget.

Education: Master's degree in program areas to which assigned and/or eligible for certification in exceptional children's program administration. Considerable experience in the assigned program area with some experience in a supervisory capacity. Experience teaching students with disabilities.
