Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking applicants for the position of Student Service Assistant also known as Nap Aide. The goal of this position is to provide care and supervision of young/ pre-school aged students while they are napping in a classroom setting. You are also responsible for their care and supervision should they awake.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate, equivalent or higher

Training & Experience: Work experience with young/pre-school age children in an urban situation preferred

Probationary Period: Six (6) Months

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities include the following:

  • Meets regular and predictable attendance schedule of 1-2 hours per day.

  • Must be able to verbally and physically interact with students as needed.

  • Demonstrates a professional appearance at all times.

  • Maintains a professional demeanor with coworkers, administration, and general public.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to spend the time needed to effectively meet the challenges, objectives, and mission of the CPS district.

  • Ability to be professional, compassionate, empathetic, caring and dedicated to human growth and development.

  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing as needed.

  • Collaborates with peers as needed to be successful in position.

  • Maintain confidentiality of restricted information.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by administrator.

Xavier University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director, Student Success and Career Development in the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success. The position reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Student Success and Career Development, and will work collaboratively with the Dean, academic departments, faculty, and other groups to coordinate and provide essential services which support the academic, personal, career, and professional preparation needs of students. This position is responsible is responsible for important retention, persistence, graduation, and post-graduation student success outcomes for caseload of students mainly within a specific college. In addition, the Assistant Director will partner with external and campus partners to increase participation in experiential learning opportunities throughout the university. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop and cultivate relationships with external partners to identify and recruit potential mentors, community work-study partners, job shadow sites, internship partners, and employers. * Provide career coaching/advising including career assessments, major and career exploration, job/experiential opportunities/graduate school career planning and search, as well as professional skill development through scheduled and walk-in appointments with individuals and groups. * Plan, execute, and evaluate experiential education events and services that engage students, alumni, and employers including internships, career treks, informational interviews, etc. in collaboration with the Student Success, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs. * Plan, develop, and deliver programming for the essential services of career counseling, career-related programming (i.e. workshops, classroom presentations), and graduate schools services. * Advise and coach a caseload of students to ensure their persistence at the University using proactive, developmental, and appreciative advising and coaching techniques. * Supervise, train, and evaluate the work of a Career Coach and provide professional development training to members of the Department and the Division. * Represent the department at recruitment events for incoming undergraduate and graduate students, and provide coaching to prospective students. Required Qualifications: * Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, Human Resources, or similar * 3-5 years professional experience in career development * Knowledge of career development and student development theories, research and practices, and recruiting trends * Experience cultivating relationships with external partners to enrich the student experience * Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse populations of students, e.g., students of color, first generation college students, students with disabilities, students on probation, career changers, and exploratory (undecided) majors.
