Summary of Job Duties:

Independently represents the University to targeted territories. Develops and maintains relationships with identified partners within the institution and community.

Visits high schools and community colleges, distributes and presents promotional materials and discusses campus information with large and small groups, counselors, students and parents. Coordinates tours of buildings and grounds for visiting students, answer questions about campus operations, and issues brochures relative to campus services. Maintains files on institution database of correspondence received from prospective students and on high school visits and answers requests for promotional information.

Travel to designated areas may be extensive at certain times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of specialized training in public relations, communications, or related field. Preferred education and/or experience is a baccalaureate degree in speech communication, journalism, public relations or related field is preferred. Knowledge of ADA compliance and practices, international guidelines and special events would be preferred.
