$15.00 - $20.00 USD hourly

The Students Records Coordinator is responsible for the integrity of the student record by ensuring that student records are updated in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established ASU Prep policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

  • Two (2) years of experience working as an office assistant and/or clerical role.

  • One (1) year of experience in customer service.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to read, speak, and/or write in Spanish, preferred but not required.

  • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure student records and student information is maintained in compliance with all applicable school, district, state, and federal policies for state record retention audits.

  • Maintain accurate permanent student records and test scores.

  • Support and propose policy and procedures that ensure student record compliance with state law found in Section 15 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.

  • Collaborate with other schools and/or outside agencies regarding student records.

  • Comply with record requests accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure student records are maintained according to the county record retention schedules for public schools.

  • Train designated personnel and maintain training material related to student transcript entry.

  • Assess incoming student credits to ensure validity and transferability in accordance with school policy, network policy, and state/federal law.

  • Collaborate with school counselors and learning success coaches to ensure students are taking appropriate classes for credits to transfer.

  • Answer inbound calls regarding student enrollment status and records requests.

  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to facilitate a positive experience and documentation of student records.

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs such as boxes, supplies, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

LOCATION:

Network- Three times a month requirement in office at UCENT (Tempe, AZ)

TRAVEL:

Monthly travel is required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
