SUBSTITUTE / ON CALL STUDENT MONITORHours/Months: 0 TO 3 HOURS Daily / Student Day Only Calendar Work Times: Breakfast shifts: 1 to 2 hours/day, between 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Recess & Lunch shifts: 2 to 3 hours/day, between 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.Number of Substitute Openings: 10Please obtain information and apply online at www.Edjoin.org or visit the AUSD Classified HR Office (address above). Basic Function: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, monitor student behavior and activity during lunchtime, breakfast, recess or other break periods; maintain lunchroom, cafeteria or other assigned areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition.Knowledge Of:

Basic methods of individual and group supervision; Oral and written communication skills; Health and safety regulations; Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.Ability To: Monitor student behavior and activity during lunchtime, recess or other break periods; Maintain lunchroom, cafeteria or other assigned areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition; Observe and control behavior of students in lunchroom, halls, restrooms, playgrounds or other areas; Learn and explain school rules, policies and regulations; Understand and follow oral and written instructions; Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Observe health and safety regulations; Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. *maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance (pending Personnel Commission approval 9/13/18).Working Conditions/Environment: Indoor and outdoor environment; Seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions.

Physical Demands: Dexterity of hands and fingers to perform cleaning duties, standing and walking for extended periods of time, seeing to monitor student activities, hearing and speaking to exchange information.Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
