Student Life Coordinator
SUMMARY OF BASIC JOB FUNCTION:

The primary function of the Student Life Coordinator position is to assist with the leadership development and student-focused diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Cleary University.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Student Leadership Development
Assists with the development, execution, and assessment of Student Life activities and functions.
Participates in budget development for campus events and Student Life operations.
Creates, develops, and implements service-learning opportunities with campus partners.
Reviews student organization registration forms and materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established regulations, procedures, and standards.
Provide appropriate training, guidance, and resources to student organization advisors, leaders, and members.
Ensures student organization spending complies with organizational policies and guidelines.
Serves as liaison between various club advisors and the Student Life team.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Initiatives
Develop student-focused DEI initiatives designed to create self-awareness, enhance campus climate, and encourage self-agency.
Design and promote activities to further enhance the residential experience, build community, and meet the needs of a diverse student population for belonging.
Represent Student Life at various campus events and recruitment functions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Two years' experience in Student Life (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Housing and Residence Life, Student Activities, Student Organizations, and Student Government are all acceptable experiences).
Valid Driver's License.
The ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication.
The ability to work irregularly and experience exposure to an uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Affairs, or College Student Personnel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
Knowledge and understanding of event planning concepts, principles, and practices.
Knowledge of crowd management, crowd safety protocols, security, and emergency procedures related to small, medium, and large-scale gatherings.
Highly developed judgment, decision-making, problem recognition, and resolution skills.
Ability to effectively work with guests, donors, government officials, and university VIPs.
