ANNOUNCEMENT

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC Educational Employee full-time, union position of Student Life and Special Event Specialist.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position involves a variety of skills needed to provide support to the Director and Coordinator of Student Life in the form of clerical, budgetary, technical and supervisory work that involves a high degree of confidentiality and proficiency. The position also assists in organizing and executing Student Life events which require coordination with the College Activities Board members, student workers, faculty, staff and community members. Work involves the ability to make independent judgement and initiative in the undertaking and organization of tasks. Flexibility in work hours is required for special events.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.High school diploma or GED certificate plus three (3) years of related full-time work experience or Associate's degree plus one (1) year of related work experience required.

2.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.

3.Previous experience in event development, coordination and evaluation required.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS

$31,548 annually

WORK LOCATION

Belleville Campus with district wide responsibilities.
