Qualifications

• Permanent Status

• Clear teaching credential

• Minimum of four years teaching and two years at LALA

• For 2015-2017, Two years at LALA will be waived

• Knowledgeable of LALA policies and procedures

• Proficient in implementation of technology

• Effective communication skills

• Satisfactory evaluations

• Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with principal to develop professional development in lesson planning, classroom management strategies, ELL, SPED strategies, and GATE

• Demonstrates and shares expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, data analysis, classroom management, ELL and SPED strategies, differentiation, assessments, parent communication, and developing positive student-teacher relationship development

• Guide teacher through thoughtful analysis and reflection of teaching methods to improve instruction

• Conduct observations and constructive non evaluative feedback on teaching practices

• Provide demonstration lessons

• Establish and maintain a trusting and supportive relationships with mentees
