Hours: Monday thru Friday 6.50 hours per day (Student contact days only)
Bachelor's Degree minimum in social work, teaching, human services, behavior analyst or comparable field involving conflict resolution or restorative justice practices
Work experience and/or training in restorative justice and conflict resolution is preferred
Direct experience working with at-risk students and families
Strong communication skills working with teachers and families
Knowledge of community resources and experience with nonprofit organizations is desired
Training in facilitation of student support and/or leadership groups
Supports teachers with specific behavior strategies and plans for individual students
Provides direct support/supervision for students removed from class for behavioral infractions
Collaborates with deans to develop and implement student success plans
Assists special ed. teachers with support for students sent to the Problem Solving Room
Implements Restorative Justice practices for identified students
Works collaboratively with the Student Intervention Team (SIT) to support referred students on a plan.
Oversees data collection on student behavior referrals and reports to PRIDE team
Provides timely parent communication for students on behavior plans or referred to SLC.
Spends time in classrooms supporting identified students on plans and providing proactive approaches to student management.
Facilitates short-term student support groups
Leads after school student post-secondary leadership groups (e.g. STARS, STRIPES)
Serves as a resource to teachers leading school readiness/success classes (e.g. STAND, SELF)
Liaison to the school PRIDE team. Reports student behavior trends and works collaboratively with the team to develop proactive practices for shaping positive student behavior.
Regularly required to walk throughout a building and may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance, and must be able to restrain students when needed, and may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
