Tucson Electric Power, one of Arizona's leading utility companies, seeks an individual for the position of ServiceNow Student Intern in the Information Technology department. We are looking for an energetic addition to our team to develop business requirements, process maps, and related documents to support business processes across multiple departments and business units. This person should have a strong interest in the area of Information Technology.
What you will do:
Gather requirements from business users
Document processes
Transition items from company intranet to ServiceNow
Support upcoming major ServiceNow projects
What you bring:
Full time college student currently residing in the Tucson, Arizona area
Pursuing IT related degree, MIS degree, or related
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interface with other business areas and stakeholders
Position-Related Responsibilities
Assists IS personnel with interfaces used by multiple business users and external partners
Assists with business clients in the use of information technology and business application systems
Assist with reviewing work requests from clients and assist with estimates for work to be performed based on industry standard estimation methodology
Participate in a team environment and assists with assignments as requested by the group or team lead.
Assist with developing of software testing, validation requirements, and use cases during design process
Qualifications
Be pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related discipline with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later
Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; up to 40 hours a week may be available during the summer and school breaks
Have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information; Must be able to meet regular deadlines
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Requirements
Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; and up to 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks
Student Interns must be enrolled in a specified degree program and maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university. Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in student being deemed ineligible for participation in the program.
Student Interns are employed on a temporary basis and are generally not eligible for some benefits; including holiday pay.
Scheduling of work hours and assignments should be made taking into consideration that Student Interns are students first and employees second.
