Student Imaging Technologist

This is a PRN opportunity, meaning that is intended to hire someone on an as-needed basis.

Job Summary

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures. Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.

Essential Functions

• Perform a wide range of general diagnostic imaging procedures in the imaging department, in surgery and the Emergency Department, and at the patient's bedside.

• Proficiently operate imaging equipment

• Utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

• Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).

• Perform EHR clerical functions related to patient chart documentation.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma

• 1 year of relevant experience must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program required

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC upon hire required
