The primary responsibility of the student graphic designer is to assist with
creating and designing print and web graphics for the Computer Labs. The
position will be responsible for updating and adapting existing graphics as well as
producing graphics from concept through production.
This position will help prepare the student for a career in graphic design through
hands-on experience, including: communicating with diverse clients from a
variety of departments, fulfilling project requirements, designing within printer
specifications and meeting deadlines. It will also provide the student with design
pieces for their portfolio and leadership opportunities to mentor Junior Graphic
Designers(s) and collaborate with the Social Media Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
brochures, banners)
web banners and digital graphics for the Shepherd Union TVs)
Following WSU branding standards
Completing designs by assigned due dates
Continued training through personalized training programs via LinkedIn
Learning and Adobe
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions
become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will

Required Qualifications
Must have a minimum of one year of graphic design experience
Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Knowledgeable in four-color and spot print processes as well as file packaging
Knowledgeable in English/grammar
