POSITION: Student Employment - Learning Commons Assistant

LOCATION: Williston, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: parttime, non-benefitted.

BACKGROUND CHECK: WSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Learning Commons student assistant will be the primary contact for patrons when they enter the Learning Commons. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

• Providing daily support to Director for Extended Learning

• Greeting all Learning Commons patrons

• Assisting patrons with computer usage, printing, and troubleshooting issues including Campus Connection, Blackboard, Microsoft Office products including email usage

• Assisting patrons with borrowing/returning/renewing of library materials

• Assisting patrons with finding appropriate resources for class projects

• Scheduling study rooms for proctored testing or study time upon request

The Learning Commons Assistant position is part-time hourly and the schedule will be based on the individual's availability to not conflict with classes or other employment positions during the hours of operation of the Learning Commons.

SALARY: $15.00 per hour
