Summary
The Student Lab Tech supports the Math, Science, and Engineering (MSE) department and the Agricultural and Industrial Technologies (AIT) department by providing basic assistance and completing day to day tasks. The Student Lab Tech will be assigned to a specific job within the departments and will work on a part-time basis, often with a flexible schedule to accommodate class needs. This is a grant funded position from the NSF advanced Technical Education (ATE) from the Division of Undergraduate Education (award number: 2300420) Grant ending July 31, 2026.
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during Fall and Spring semesters. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours to be eligible for student employment opportunities during Summer semesters.
Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours at ICC during the semester of employment for fall or spring or enrolled in 3 credit hours for summer employment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess excellent level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
