Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four years' experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a bachelor's degree
Two years' experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a master's degree
Required Licenses and Certifications: Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to supervise and evaluate employees
Ability to supervise, train, and coordinate event staff
Ability to plan, establish, and implement set up and take down for swim meets
Ability to keep accurate and up to date records
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and/or data entry applications
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Certified Recreational Sports Specialist (NIRSA), SCUBA, LGIT, WSI, LGI, CPO, or AFO certifications
Minimum of two years supervisory experience, including at least one-year lifeguard experience and at least one-year swim meet management
Experience with pool chemical handling, lifeguard training and scheduling, pool mechanical systems, and Aquatic Event Management
Ability to collaborate with athletics to host high visibility swim meets such as NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships
Ability to set up and take down, as well as troubleshoot and mitigate problems with timing and scoreboard systems
Budget preparation and administration experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, move heavy objects
Ability to model motion
Ability to swim

Salary: $51,750 annually (commensurate to selected hire's experience)
Position Details: Employee will supervise (12 to 14) Aquatic Worker I's, (4) Aquatic Event Leads, (8 to 12) Event Staff, (4 to 6) Program Staff, and (100) Lifeguard staff. Requires some evening and weekend work. Attends meetings and conferences concerning students and with student groups at times beyond usual working hours
