As the Student Coordinator (RN), Nursing you will be collaborating with school partners and stakeholders on planning, coordinating, and implementing the placement of students, with a primary focus on nursing students.

This is an exempt part-time position. Working remotely 80% of the time, require to attend in-person meetings, events, conferences. Must reside within the Central Florida area.

Responsibilities Essential Functions • Provides guidance and support to team members, students and faculty for an optimal Orlando Health Student experience. • Provides consultation to students, TMs and faculty to assure that all scholarly activities are aligned with the goals of the organization. • Synthesizes organizational strategy and goals in identifying prioritization and planning for Student Services. • Partner with Orlando Health departments to coordinate student placements for internships, clinical rotations, or practicums. • Partners with varies schools & departments to facilitate the clinical rotation schedules for students. • Facilitates presentation of Orlando Health Orientation to student groups with school partners. • Orients new faculty and school liaisons to Orlando Health processes. • Maintains database with student placement information. • Prepares necessary data to submit to Community Benefits. • Maintains records of students and faculty involved in scholarly activities at Orlando Health assuring proper forms are completed and regulatory requirements are met by schools. • Solicits student, academic institution, and Orlando Health department feedback for future planning and process improvement. • Participates in complex trouble shooting and problem resolution for Student Services • Partners with Talent Acquisition and other Orlando Health departments to identify needs for additional school affiliations based on current and projected workforce vacancies. • Analyzes and modifies current student services processes based on review of industry practices and academic programs. • Collaborates with department leadership for the management and completion of team or special projects. • Participates in identified student recruitment opportunities. • Develops and present sreports on Orlando Health student activities. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues and compliance with standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. • Communicate regularly with affiliated schools. • Serves as a liaison and informal consultant to Orlando Health departments and affiliated schools regarding student issues. • Serves on School Advisory Boards and Educational Committees as requested. • Participates in process improvement activities as assigned. • Serves as preceptor for Student Coordinator, Allied Health. Qualifications Education/Training Associate degree required in Nursing. Licensure/Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida Experience • Four(4) years clinical experience in a healthcare setting. • Proficient with Microsoft Office computer skills including EXCEL, WORD, Outlook and Adobe. • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
