Position Summary

The role of the Cath Lab Student Radiological Tech reports to the Cardiovascular Services Manager. This position, under close supervision of a Radiology Tech, is responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiovascular procedures as ordered by the physician.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with procedures in the cardiac Cath lab and electrophysiology lab under supervision and direction of the physician or Radiology Tech

• Assist with prepping patients and patient care areas for procedures

• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients

• Assist with coordinating care between interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Education: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program or registry eligible with temporary licensure

• Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required.

• Experience: Previous experience of radiologic practices as generally associated with completion of one year of an accredited radiology program, required.

Work Environment: This position spends 70% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.

This position spends 30% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position serves a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population This position will be exposed to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease.
