Job Summary

This position will assist the Inventory & Quality Control Coordinator and Inventory Clerks with stocking and maintaining custodial closets and dispensers across two campuses. This position requires individuals to be able to repeatedly bend and regularly lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs. This position requires that an individual can occasionally lift 30-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Check and stock all custodial supply closets on both the Main and RiverPark campuses according to preset standards. Assist custodial teams with refilling sanitation stations and all mounted and freestanding dispensers on both campuses.

Use an iPad or other non-complex computer to complete work orders, send updates via email, and take pictures as requested or required. Move pallets of supplies from the warehouse and properly stock them in storage. Assist with work orders. Follow all previously established inventory control procedures.

Required Qualifications

Possession of a valid driver's license. Must meet the University's Safety Driving standards.

Must be able to pass golf cart and vehicle driving tests. Must be able to occasionally lift 30-100 lbs. and regularly lift up to 30 lbs. This job requires individuals to be outside in various weather conditions. Some nights and weekends will be required, but we are willing to work with class schedules.

Conditions of Employment

All selected candidates are required to submit and successfully pass a background investigation to include reference checks and verification of academic credentials (if applicable). Other additional requirements may be required based upon specific position duties:

  • A credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage;

  • Pre-employment drug testing for positions with high-risk responsibilities.

  • Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive a Columbus State University fleet vehicle or other vehicle designated as a fleet vehicle. A successful drug screening will be required as a condition of employment a randomly thereafter.

  • Applicants for positions of trust may be asked to disclose criminal record history during the initial screening process and prior to a conditional offer of employment.



For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
