Job Summary
The CSU Computer Help Desk provides technical support to CSU users as they utilize technology to further the University's mission. We are looking for students who are friendly, helpful, and willing to learn with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a customer service position that will provide courteous, prompt, and accurate technical assistance to CSU faculty, staff, and students in person and via telephone and email. These students can also assist with going out on classroom calls as well.
Responsibilities
This position will assist students with logging into UITS supported student accounts; assist students in using lab equipment, to include, computers, scanners, print release stations, and printers; assist students in the usage of general lab software; enforce all UITS computer lab rules; troubleshoot technical issues with mobile devices and computers; and all other related duties as assigned. This does not exclude helping students with writing techniques and etiquette.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a 2.5 GPA and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Customer service and technical experience is preferred.
Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position will work up to 25 hours per week.
