Student Assistant

This position serves in a student capacity and assists the Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing in general office duties/coordination, editing resource guides and training content, assisting with the review of policy research on issues that impact the deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing community, and other duties as assigned.

Position Description

This position generally requires current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution. Specific information on the education and experience required for the position is in the job specifications for the Student Assistant class.Student Assistant positions cannot exceed 129 working hours in a calendar month and must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term, providing proof of enrollment at the start of each term.

Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
