Department Summary

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create solutions for a healthier community by fostering student success. The functional units within the Division of Student Affairs are: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office of Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center

Position Overview

Student employees assigned to this classification work under general supervision. Jobs assigned to this level usually require some previous experience, education, or specialized skill.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have and maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA, not be on academic probation, or have any conduct sanctions.

  • Must be recommended by 2 faculty members (No letter required, simply list their names below).

Preferred Qualifications

Be able to cover high-yield information with students using different learning techniques.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:

  • % - Employees will work with fellow instructors and faculty to design curriculum on popular topics in each program using study strategies promoted by the CAP office. - (Essential)
  • % - Employees will teach a multi-day workshop for incoming students, attend all planning meetings and several preparation meetings that will include training in engaging students in study strategies. - (Essential)
  • % - Employees will be expected to submit paperwork and PowerPoint slides by deadlines. - (Essential)

Work Schedule:

Must be free and available July 1-3 (12p-5p). Must attend instructor training sessions. Employer will pay up to 36 hours for preparation and up to 20 hours for the week of the workshop at $15 per hour
