Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Student Assistant to join our Cardiac Transplant team part-time
10 to 19.5 hours per week during school year; up to full time during summer quarter). Individuals will perform general office functions; enter data into the records management software; update various logs, spreadsheets, and databases to track office activity/client interactions; assist with the creation and update of record series and the UW Medicine Records Retention Schedule; perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lab entry: Checked 2-4 times per day and ASAP if marked urgent.
Check voicemail
Create transplant teaching packets
Data entry under guidance of Data Operations specialist
Create LVAD teaching packets
Equipment data entry for tracking
Follow-up on Lab orders; enter lab results in Epic from external facilities
Send staff messages on task list (tracking to-dos post-visit)
Sort "Other" basket: Consists of faxes that are for advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support or heart transplant.

REQUIREMENTS:
To be employed as a student, the student must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements (not including correspondence credits):
Be approved for "On Leave" status
Student employees are limited to working 19.5 hours per week when classes are in session.
Student employees may work more than 19.5 hours per week during school breaks or when "on leave." A student can work as a student assistant for one quarter while on leave.
