Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Student Services Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Student Activities Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, providing administrative and clerical support along with assisting in organizing and coordinating student activities associated with the office of student activities to include the creation of marketing materials and providing organizational oversite for the Food Pantry, Success Closet, Game Room, Student Government Association (SGA), and SGA Board as well as student clubs.

Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate activities on and near campus by coordinating with vendors and ensuring that procurement processes are followed for vendor contracting.

• Coordinate with housekeeping, facilities, and security for day, evening, and/or weekend events.

• Serve as a member of the Student Government Association and travel with the Student Government representatives of FTCC to off campus meetings and events. This requires necessary driver's license endorsements.

• Process paperwork for work-study students.

• Assist in maintaining records for the game room, Success Closet, Food Pantry, and student activities/SGA.

• Prepare and disseminate routine announcements and correspondence to students, faculty, and staff.

• Maintain an open exchange with the Director of Student Activities and other campus personnel.

• Train students in the function of the student game room and other student activity locations.

• Be responsive to emails and voicemails from Clubs and Organizations, faculty, staff, the local community, and students.

• Maintain and monitor website and social media accounts for accurate and up-to-date information.

• Assist in planning lists of items to purchase online or personally go to businesses to purchase items with the FTCC P-Card. Also, aid in completing the P-Card transaction through online bank.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, and two years of responsible experience with student activities.
