Job Purpose/Description
Job Duties
Conduct post-event data and strategic analysis to inform future events
Oversee Port Scheduling and Event Scheduling as needed
Assist in the financial management of the student activities office
Assist in the management of student activities programs and processes including pcard tracking
Learn and understand the functioning of higher education and student affairs through research and shadowing opportunities
Fill event planning vacancies if needed.
Assist in the execution of club leadership training opportunities
Work directly with the student activities team and event coordinators providing support and education as needed.
Serve as the President for Campus Activities Board
Research other colleges and universities and keep up with trends in student organizations
Assist the Director in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all recognized student organizations
Supply ongoing support for student organizations based on need (possibly in the form of in-services/workshops)
Assist in the development of leadership resource guides and programming materials.
Bring creative ideas and energy to the position.
Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be a current CSS student
Federal work study eligibility is preferred
Have at least one year of experience working as an event coordinator in the Student Activities Office
A full-year commitment is required
Computer skills required; prefer experience with MS Office Products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner are required.
Strong organizational and time management skills required.
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions is important
Job functions require sitting, standing, and walking during shifts.
Professional presence to represent the College to the public required
Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury.
This position reports to the Director of Student Activities.
Good attendance is required.
