In this role, you'll be a financial ROCKSTAR, guiding students through every step - admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and beyond. You'll become a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive information about University policies and processes to everyone - prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping first impressions, fueling enrollment and student success by leveraging your expertise in student accounts, financial aid, and admissions. You'll empower students by being their guide through payments, registration, student self-service tools, and more, ensuring a stress-free financial journey. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a full range of student services support to students and the general public by responding to inquiries and requests for information and assistance in person, online or by telephone.

  • Assisting and informing students with student services processes, procedures and policies, including: admissions; assessment/testing; financial aid, billing and payment; graduation; registration; new student orientation, and student self-service.

  • Training and assisting students to navigate Argo Express and other online student services processes.

  • Interpreting complex information, making evaluative determinations and recommendations regarding services, programs, and procedures to students, University employees and the public.

  • Conducting student and financial transactions and maintaining and updating student accounts records using University information systems.

  • Assisting students in the resolution of issues, concerns and problems.

  • Work directly with the Financial Aid staff to provide student assistance and learn policies and procedures. Enter data as needed, scan and send documents and assist in follow up calls and letter generation.

  • Reconciling daily cash transactions.

  • Monitors on-line payment gateways to ensure all payments are being posted daily to either student accounts or the general ledger in Banner.

  • Responsible for ensuring that payment plans are on time and accurate.

  • Responsible for mailing and distributing all student refund checks weekly.

  • Supports the Senior Accounts Specialist regarding special billing and refund processing.

  • Responsible for posting any incoming checks or cash coming in through all departments on campus.

  • Responsible for petty cash within the Student Accounts Office in the amount of $1000.00, including requesting checks from AP weekly to reconcile the cash drawer after issuing petty cash to on-campus personnel.

  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as required.

ESSENTIAL POSITION COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal and formal presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Competency in learning and mastering client relationship management software and ERP system software (Banner).

Education

  • Associate degree or equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred

Experience

  • At least 1 years of customer service experience required.

  • Knowledge of student services and programs relevant to a higher education setting preferred.
