Job Purpose: Manage and perform activities related to processing, advising and reconciling unit, faculty, staff, student, and/or affiliate related financial accounts.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage postings and/or processing of receivables and payables for assigned unit, faculty, staff, student, and/or affiliate related financial accounts.

  • Review and reconcile accounts to ensure appropriate application of funds for assigned unit, faculty, staff, student, and/or affiliate related financial accounts.

  • Determine appropriate collections due diligence ensuring compliance with BOR policy and Institute standards.

  • Reconcile student, affiliate and financial accounts making appropriate adjustments as necessary.

  • Review aging reports for follow up on past due amounts in accordance with BOR policy.

  • Manage system processes to provide statements and initiate billing and/or payment activities.

  • Collaborate with appropriate GT departments to communicate and resolve matters related to assigned financial accounts.

  • Collaborate with appropriate GT departments to communicate and resolve insurance related matters.

  • Provide customer service by responding directly to inquiries by email, phone, and/or in person.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field

  • Work Experience: Three to four years job related experience

  • Certifications: N/A

  • Skills:
    Ability to build rapport, attention to detail, provide excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, an understanding of accounting principles and general business acumen.

  • Preferred Education: N/A

  • Preferred Work Experience: Experience working with Banner Student system. Collections experience in a university setting.

  • Preferred Certifications: N/A
