Relationship Management: Manages high operationally intensive accounts for the Structured Finance Product (very complex and moderate risk) with a high level of expertise consistent with governing document requirements, regulatory guidelines, and policies and procedures. Grows fee revenues through cost containment, automation or improvements of operational efficiencies, and through delivery of service levels commensurate with customer's fee revenue. Supports centralized tasks / functions within the Global Structured Finance Portfolio Management team.

Transaction Management: Performs transaction document review and onboarding in compliance with U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures as well as applicable regulatory requirements. Manages high volume, operationally intensive accounts along with legacy accounts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of experience in trust administration, product knowledge, sales and customer service

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of account management, trust operations, and legal regulations

  • Strong KYC knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of structured finance transaction documentation, negotiation, policies and procedures

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication

  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict management and negotiation skills

  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risk

Basic Purpose: Provide research and analytical support to Diversified Fixed Income structured finance credit analysts and portfolio managers with a focus on asset-backed securities (ABS) and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). The Research Associate will monitor existing structured finance investments and report on performance trends and credit events. The Research Associate is expected to develop independence as their experience and skill related to assigned responsibilities increase. The Research Associate will, over time, be able to offer independent analysis and recommendations on specific investments and be a significant contributor to the each of the Diversified Fixed Income investment processes. Primary Responsibilities: * Support senior credit analysts by collecting, organizing and maintaining data on various structured finance industry sectors, issuers and securities. * Monitor, analyze and report on structured finance industry sector trends and individual deal performance using cash flow and statistical modeling. * Write credit summaries outlining the credit worthiness and relative value implication of structured finance investments. * Provide structured finance industry news updates at weekly meetings. * Develop and maintain relationships with issuers, industry peers, outside research publishers and experts, as well as other Eaton Vance sector analysts. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree required with strong academic record. * Relevant experience or demonstrated interest/passion in investment analysis a plus. * Experience with quantitative tools related financial analysis and modeling desired. * Advanced computer skills and experience with industry software and databases. * Knowledge of Intex, Bloomberg, Excel and VBA is very helpful. * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. * Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. * Enrolled or plan to enroll in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. * Plans to attend a leading business, finance or similar advanced degree program in 3 – 5 years.
