Job Summary As a skilled welder, your primary jobs consist of welding together metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or instructions from management or a supervisor. The welder utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metal and non-metal materials including the knowledge of the equipment to be used in the process.

In the sequence of work activities, the welder’s job follows that of the fitters, welding together structural components that have previously been fit and tacked into place. • 3 years’ shipyard experience. • Must be able to weld ceramic tape and gouge. Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 Safety & Environmental Factors: All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
