Title: Structural Tower Technician

Reports To: Foreman

Department: Structural

Patriot Towers is a full-service communications tower construction provider in the northeast looking for motivated employees to join our team! Patriot Towers has over 20 years of industry experience and we have been ranked in the Top 100 Rochester companies several years in a row.

COMPENSATION: $20-$24 based on experience

Weekly per diem checks issued where room and board is applicable.

Structural Tower Technician Qualifications/General Requirements:

• Read and follow blueprints, and/or rough sketches

• Troubleshoots and identifies malfunctioning equipment

• Construction site set up, material staging and tower rigging

• Lifts and loads equipment onto company vehicles

• Works at heights for extended periods of time

• Ensures safety standards are met at all times

• Works cooperatively with foreman and members on all crews

• Complete work and maintain high quality standards

• Preps steel for welding and fitment

• Timesheets are completed accurately and submitted on time

• Other duties as assigned by manager

Competencies/ Qualifications:

• Knowledge of or ability to learn Patriot Towers, Inc. procedures .

• Must take and follow detailed instructions

• Ability to understand basic and intermediate steel fabrication and installation.

• Basic rigging skills (willing to train)

Hiring Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• You must pass pre-employment background and drug screenings

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the positions.

• Candidates should have the ability to climb heights greater than 500 feet

• Must be able to travel overnight during the week and weekends as needed.

• A clean driving record/background is required.

• You will also need to present yourself professionally and work well both independently and in a team environment.

• We prefer a High School Diploma/GED,

• Previous telecommunications experience a strong plus
