Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is searching for a Structural Field Technician to work within the C5ISR operation. The selected candidate will apply technical knowledge to perform repairs, fabrication, modification, and installation of structural items, electrical, cables, wires, wiring assemblies and associated parts. The artisan must be able to demonstrate the practical application of structural installation procedures and possess the knowledge of tools and equipment required to perform required functions. The artisan must be a self-starter, resourceful, disciplined, and able to handle complex tasks with the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced team environment with other technicians to accomplish all tasking with extraordinary attention to detail. This position requires the ability to communicate with the supervisor and/or project manager on any issues pertaining to the task. Work is reviewed for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. Aircraft experience highly desired.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.

  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.

  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.

  • Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.

  • Maintains effective customer communications, relations, and provides onsite training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.

  • Ability to read, interpret and understand installation work packets, drawings, and schematics.

  • Experience with NAVAIR and TCTO work packages and.

  • Use of various hand tools and precision tools to include experience and familiarization with Machine Shop equipment and operations.

  • Ability to apply critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Ability to coordinate work assignments with Customers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel.

Preferred Requirements

  • P8 Experience

  • C130 Experience

  • CONUS and OCONUS travel to customer sites as needed.

  • Eligibility to be upgraded to Top Secret.
