Structural Engineering Project Manager Telecommunications Group
The Boston, MA office of Dewberry is seeking an engineering telecommunications project manager. Our growing, fast-paced, multi-disciplined telecommunications engineering department seeks a dynamic, client focused, highly motivated, organized, outgoing, and energetic project manager to join our staff of professionals who provide engineering design, analysis, permitting and construction support for wireless facilities throughout the New England area. Responsibilities to include directing drafting and engineering staff through project design process, conducting site visits on projects located throughout the New England area, preparing wireless facility design documents for permitting and approvals with the team, coordinating all design aspects with clients and other engineering design disciplines, managing services provided by sub-consultants on projects, tracking the scheduling and progress of projects, developing, managing and monitoring project budgets, providing construction support services, inspection and code review. Project Manager responsibilities also entail maintenance of ongoing contact with prospective and current clients, participating in business development activities, marketing, proposal preparation and new client/project pursuits. Ability to manage numerous projects and staff independently, prioritize work assignments, be responsive, and multi-task are a must for the successful candidate in this fast paced environment. Projects will be extremely diverse in type and scale from site civil work on tower sites to data room designs in large scale facilities & sporting venues. As such we are looking for candidates with diverse engineering backgrounds that are able to employ areas of technical strength while also growing their skill set in other disciplines including management.
Required Skills & Required Experience
Individuals must possess a BS in Engineering, with 5-10 years of continuous and progressively expanding relevant design experience in Structural Engineering.
Candidates with a PE license are preferred.
Construction supervision, prior wireless telecommunication facilities design and permitting experience is highly desirable.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office are required.
