We are currently seeking a full-time structural engineer to be an integral member of our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have considerable building design experience, involving institutional or commercial projects, from schematic design through construction administration.Location: Raleigh, North CarolinaEducation and Licensing
  • Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering
  • Masters degree is a plus, but not required.
  • PE registration
Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and design skills.
  • Masonry, steel, concrete, and wood framing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software (Tekla and TEDDs).
  • Ability to successfully organize and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within an A/E environment with a commitment to fostering collaborative teamwork.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and interact with contractors.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit (BIM).
A valid, unrestricted drivers license and driving record, as deemed acceptable by our firms liability insurance carrier, must be presented and maintained.Benefits

Responsibilities will include managing the job transition process, budgets and scheduling, constructability, procurement, contract management, and safety. This position will report to the Project Manager and support all field activities on multiple small projects, or one medium to large-size projects.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul dir="ltr"><li role="presentation">Participate in the daily plan to advance concrete construction knowledge through the execution of the work objectives.</li><li role="presentation">Own your daily safety, quality, and execution of the assigned work objective or daily task related to the phase of work on the project.</li><li role="presentation">Plan and execute assigned tasks (work objectives) by performing and utilizing information, tools, and processes appropriate for the task or phase of work</li><li role="presentation">Develop an in-depth knowledge of the phase of work or task assigned by engaging and giving feedback on all aspects of the work objective through performance with the team.</li><li role="presentation">Track production through various logs including time and quantities and actual versus budget calculations, including an analysis of the reason for variance.</li><li role="presentation">Understand project scope, schedule, safety, and quality for the assigned projects.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul dir="ltr"><li role="presentation">Construction Management degree, Civil Engineering degree, or related discipline; OR 6 years of construction related experience. </li><li role="presentation">Possess the ability to work well in a team environment and is a self-motivated and engaged individual</li><li role="presentation">Organized and able to prioritize.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Compensation & Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">$60,000 - $85,000  depending on experience.
