Are you ready to join us?
Design bridges, retaining walls, and related structures;
Conduct structural analyses, develop calculations, and prepare contract documents (plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates) in accordance with state and local agency requirements;
Responsible for independently working on bridge design projects and other transportation-related structural design and analysis projects;
Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques for design of steel and concrete structures;
May conduct site inspections and other responsibilities associated with this position.
B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is required
EIT is required
M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is strongly preferred
1-4 years of structure design experience preferably on transportation projects
Self-motivated candidate who has in-depth understanding of fundamentals of structural engineering and a desire to prepare designs and contract documents for transportation structures projects
Strong technical skills in steel and concrete bridge design and plan preparation
Working knowledge of MicroStation
Proficient in design, modeling and analysis software. Working knowledge of LARSA 4D, CSI Bridge or other 3D FEM structural modeling software is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
