Structural Engineer (Eit)

Rice Companies is looking for a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the team at our Sauk Rapids, MN, location. As a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) at Rice Companies, you will work under the supervision of an experienced engineer to assist in the structural planning, analysis, and design aspects of various construction projects. You will work closely with the in-house design team, project managers, and clients to overcome construction challenges and ensure the quality and compliance of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

• Perform structural calculations for both new and existing structures

• Conduct field investigations and surveys to gather project planning and design data.

• Utilize engineering software and tools to perform calculations and simulations.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.

• Assist in preparing RFP's, estimates and proposals with an emphasis on site design, estimated costs & other criteria.

• Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Willingness to learn engineering design and construction of multi-disciplinary projects.
