Structural Engineer E.I.T.

Seeking a Structural Engineer E.I.T. to join our team. A small but growing geotechnical engineering firm based in the Richmond, VA metro area. Through its hands-on customer service and full range of geotechnical capabilities, our company has grown in both size and scope, to become a leader in geotechnical engineering in the Mid-Atlantic. With an in-house fleet of geotechnical drill rigs and materials testing equipment, our company provides prompt and affordable expert geotechnical analysis. In addition to geotechnical services, our company offers structural design and inspection services for both residential and commercial clients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical engineering, subsurface structural design, and third-party/special inspections. Experience with AutoCAD, StruCalc, and Geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, FLAC, GeoStudio, etc.) are a plus.

• BS or higher degree in Civil Engineering required; MS in Geotechnical Engineering is desirable

• EIT is required, Professional Engineer's License would be nice to have, preferably licensed in VA, MD, and DC. EIT would need to want to pursue PE or pursuing PE within a year of being hired for this role.

• Field experience with geotechnical exploration and structural inspections is preferred

• Must possess a valid driver's license
