Structural Engineer E.I.T.

Description:

Seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer E.I.T. This position is focused in design engineering for a mid-size consulting firm. Projects are typically small to mid-sized for heavy industrial clients. This position will start in heavy design work and progress into more engineering and project management. Heavy structural focus- retrofit projects within existing industrial facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited undergraduate program

• Preferred coursework in any of the following software: AutoCAD, Revit, 3D CAD, Advance Steel, RISA 3D

• Knowledgeable of basic civil and structural material specifications to the extent that all information required for material purchase, fabrication and construction is reflected on the finished drawings

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Must be results oriented

• Must be a team player

• Must possess uncompromised commitment to quality

Work Environment

Team size-1 Department Manager (PE), 1 senior engineer (PE), 2 engineers (both PEs), and 1 senior structural designer

Environment-smallest team they have but work closely with the mechanical, process, and electrical teams

M-F, in office position (office is located in Midlothian, VA near interstate 288 and route 360)
