Job Description

AECOM is seeking Structural Bridge Engineers to be based in our New York, NY or Piscataway, NJ office. Our Structural Engineers are involved in planning, preparation and design for New York Metro transportation projects.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work on a variety of exciting design/build projects that are highly visible, adding value to your career development. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.+ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.+ Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.+ Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.+ Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.+ Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.+ Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.+ Prepares technical specification sections.+ Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and six (6) years of relevant experience in transportation structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education+ PE license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to hold a PE license in both NY and NJ within 12 months of hire
• Experience working with bridges
• Experience working in NY Metro agencies
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Proficiency with CAD and similar computer software

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
