Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

Serve as a subject matter expert for structural design of military projects or portions of civil works projects. This role involves design of various structures such as reinforced concrete and structural steel framed buildings, concrete gravity dam sections, and various types of gates. You will also assist in the preparation of structural designs and specifications for new constructions, renovations, and repairs, as well as conducting structural surveys. Additionally, you will review, coordinate, and monitor technical aspects of projects from design to completion, develop engineering projects to ensure technical soundness, and produce complete contract packages.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in professional engineering from an ABET-accredited school

• Current registration as a professional engineer, licensed in Oklahoma

• 7+ years of experience

• Knowledge of design for Department of Defense facilities and buildings

• Ability to perform Structural Designs incorporating progressive collapse and blast proofing

• Knowledge of the Internal Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, ASCE 7-10, ACI318-11, AISC 360, UFC 3-301-01 and UFC 3-310-04

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)

Soft Skills

• Strong planning skills

• Excellent written and communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Work Environment

This position requires lifting less than 50 pounds and use of safety and protective gear. You will often be standing for long periods, walking over rough terrain, and occasionally bending and stretching. Expect exposure to outdoor conditions including wind, rain, and extreme temperatures, and work in remote locations. Work hours may include night shifts and/or weekends.
