Structural Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking to hire either a Structural Engineer or Civil Engineer to support our client in Newport News, VA. This position will be focusing on facilities.

Description:

• Candidate should have structural engineering experience to include performing structural evaluations, conducting building assessments, performing code review/interpretations and responding to emergent safety related issues in a fast paced, large industrial facility setting.

• Assist with performing unplanned event investigations and performing root cause analysis.

• Have project management, communication, organizational and computer skills.

• Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product.

• Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.

• Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering.

• 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Eligible for a US Secret Clearance.

• Pay Rate: $42-$55/hr. OT pays 1.5x
