Structural Engineer

The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer.

Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with a minimum of 5 years experience and a PE Certification. Responsibilities Develop and present schematic design proposals Identify technologies to improve operational Document design narratives & engineering analysis Interpret customer requirements by reviewing specifications, sales documents, project drawings, etc. Insure design requirements match proposal and contract documents Perform analysis and design of the structural framework for the company’s product line Coordinate all work with the Manager of Engineering to incorporate structural / mechanical and electrical systems into the design Resolve problems in the areas under his or her control that will impact schedule, accuracy and completeness Provide assistance to Sales and Estimating Departments as needed to provide timely response to sales and proposal needs Coordinate with manufacturing to insure proper flow of work through the plant Coordinate with installation operations to maximize efficiency of both equipment and personnel, with emphasis on quality and safety Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred Experience Professional Engineer license is required Previous experience in structural / mechanical engineering or other related fields Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics Proficient in Math, Calculations, Troubleshooting Experience in CAD or Inventor Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize and multitask
