Structural Designer
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $29 - $33/hr

Konik is partnering with a local engineering consultant who is seeking to add a structural designer to their team.

Structural Designer Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, including layout plans, sections, and details, following CAD standards and project requirements.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure structural designs align with project goals, safety standards, and client specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to Structural Technicians, review their work for accuracy, and ensure design consistency.
• Coordinate structural designs with internal team members, external consultants, and product vendors to optimize project efficiency.
• Communicate directly with clients and contractors to address RFIs and field questions and review shop drawings for accuracy.
  

Structural Designer Qualifications:

• · Associates or Certificate in architectural or structural design or similar with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and drafting standards for structural design.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations to ensure accurate designs.
• Experience coordinating with project teams, clients, and contractors to support project execution.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site observations and field measurements.
