PACE Engineers, Inc. completes a broad mix of projects and sizes in various market sectors including; public works, industrial, ports, architectural, commercial, institutional, as well as contractor and vendor services. Project work includes; new buildings improvements to existing buildings, transit facilities, water treatment facilities, hydraulic structures, single-span bridges, park structures, site structures, seismic certification, and installation of mechanical equipment and utilities.

What position we need:

Structural CADD Technician II

What you'll be doing:

  • Set-up drawings using various Autodesk applications including AutoCAD Civil 3D,and Revit

  • Lead drafter for projects and coordinate with engineers and other drafters to create high quality drawings and models

  • Develop plans, sections, and details based on hand sketches

Position Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks

  • Ability to create dynamic blocks and families as needed

  • Minimum 2 years of structural drafting experience

  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts/clashes

What educational background you will need:

  • Certificate/Degree or related education & industry experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Perform computer and computer-related equipment moves, adds, and changes. * Diagnose and resolve basic computer-related hardware problems. * Install and configure system, network, and application software. * Maintain software licensing agreements and monitor compliance. * Resolve software conflicts. * Configure computer-related hardware for various uses (i.e., mobile labs, stand-alone, LAN/WAN equipment). * Perform routine network tasks (i.e., backups, reconfigurations and software upgrades). * Understand and resolve network integration problems. * Add, delete, and maintain users' passwords and access levels. * Assist staff in learning to use applications, including appropriate network use. * Assist in the deployment of various IT-related projects. * Assist with setup and maintenance of telephone equipment. ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/VOCATIONAL PREPARATION * Associate's Degree or two years of college/university preferred. * Minimum of three years of computer-related hardware support required. * Knowledgeable of Ethernet LAN/WAN architecture and troubleshooting required. * Knowledgeable of and experience with supporting Microsoft operating systems ranging from Windows 2000 through Windows 7. * Competency with Apple iOS devices preferred. Experience managing Apple iOS devices in an enterprise a plus. * Bloodborne Pathogens training required. OTHER JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Valid Driver's License required. * Ability to distinguish between hardware and software problems. * Ability to troubleshoot computer and network issues in a multi-location IP network * Ability to analyze problems and recommend technical solutions. * Ability to prioritize work orders in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision. * Ability to lift and move equipment. * Ability to communicate effectively with students, District personnel, parents, and the community. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Requirements: The person selected for this position must be able to provide: proof of college education, verify identity and employment authorization, complete a pre-employment record check and be approved by the State Department of Education after having a Fingerprint-Based Criminal History Verification made. The selected candidate will pay $10-$20 for a set of fingerprints and $59.00 for the verification check.
