Streets Maintenance Worker III

Position Summary: The Streets Maintenance Worker III is responsible for providing advanced maintenance services for the Streets Division, including the operation of heavy equipment such as dump trucks, sweepers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and more. This role involves tasks related to street maintenance, landscaping, and general groundskeeping, utilizing a variety of equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced maintenance services on streets, sidewalks, curbs, and storm drainage systems.

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, sweepers, bucket trucks, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and more.

• Utilize light-duty equipment such as tractors, mowers, trucks, and various trailers.

• Use chemical tanks, sign post equipment, power washer, spray painter, air compressor, chain saw, and other hand or manual tools.

• Assist with traffic control during street maintenance and construction projects.

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with safety guidelines.

• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve division goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate.

• 4 years of related work experience.

• Valid Class A New Mexico Driver's License.

• Public Applicators License.

• Certified Utility Locator.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of heavy and light-duty equipment and tools.

• Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a team.

• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Working Conditions:

• This role primarily involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.

• Physical demands may include bending, lifting, and extended periods of standing or walking.
