Attends to service related concerns and communicated from HART Streetcar Operators, Dispatchers, Managers, Directors, etc. Demonstrates a commitment to HART goals and objectives through daily responsibilities, which will include professional oral and written communications using various technologies and equipment. Will be a component of first responder personnel to accidents, incidents, and/or occurrences which disrupt normal scheduled operations. Reports directly to the Director of Streetcar.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Uses radio, phone, and computerized technologies to monitor and report on activities at all HART facilities, as required.
Assists in developing and presenting methods to improve service quality, reliability, and on-time performance.
Promote safe operations and practices by interacting with Streetcar motormen and other personnel regarding observations using proactive and reactive corrective measurements.
Required to respond to various events through foot patrols or assigned vehicles.
Maintain system familiarity to implement service changes in times of emergencies.
Performs safety and security physical inspections, threat and vulnerability assessments, including but not limited to: right of way, OCS, gates, perimeter fencing, lighting, building exterior/perimeter doors, CCTV equipment.
Responds to passenger/customer behaviors and completes required reports and forms in addition to other prescribed works with law enforcement agencies involving report of/response to criminal activity.
Works in conjunction with Dispatchers using audio and visual equipment (e.g. 2-way radios, phones, MDT, etc.) Required to operate revenue and non-revenue vehicles when required or requested.
Responds to customer inquiries, compliments and complaints pertaining to routes, schedules, operator-related issues and general transit information.
Completes, collects and submits reports as required on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Enforces all work rules and the corrective action when necessary.
Uses tools to make minor repairs in efforts to restore or maintain revenue service operations Substitutes for Dispatchers and Motormen when needed.
Investigates, create written reports and draw diagrams of accidents.
May be subject to working additional hours or other work assignments as circumstances warrant.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education (GED) required.
College degree preferred
Two years of progressive supervisory experience required, in transit environment preferred.
One year transit or rail operator experience.
Machines, Tools, & Equipment Used:
Florida Driver's License (CDL) Class "B" with "P" (Passenger) endorsement.
Safety Sensitive Position.

Knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures and policies of the Authority.
Knowledge of the Streetcar schedules and route.
Knowledge of ATU and Teamsters bargaining unit contract upon hiring.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Constant periods of sitting, standing and driving transit vehicles.
Occasional periods of bending, kneeling and stretching.
Occasional periods of exposure to extreme heat and cold.
Occasional periods of computer, telephone and radio usage.
Occasional periods of full sensory usage at maximum capacity (hearing, seeing, touching, feeling and smelling).
Minimal time in office environment.
Ability to occasionally push and pull objects in excess of 100 lbs. when assisting patrons in wheelchair.
Subject to all weather conditions.
May be exposed to potentially intimidating and/or unreceptive members of the public; may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, extreme noise and physical harm.
