The Little Blue River Watershed Coalition (LBRWC) is a nonprofit, grassroots community organization that is working to protect and restore the Little Blue River watershed. An AmeriCorps VISTA member at this site will increase the capacity of water education programs to reach and benefit low-income students; identify donors, sponsors, grants, and partners for building the capacity of water education programs that benefit low-income students; and recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to provide low-income students with science-based education activities, opportunities to connect with Nature, exploration of science careers, and community improvement projects.
