Position Summary

Our Strategy practice provides consulting services spanning domains that include finance, marketing, sales, operations, information technology, and corporate strategy. Our Strategy professionals bring a tailored approach to help develop and operationalize strategies to scale and create specific tactics that trigger transformation. With deep industry experience and extensive knowledge of organizational functions and priorities, our teams align organization's people, processes and technology across functions, to optimize performance from strategy to execution. Within the Strategy & Performance Improvement practice you might be involved in:

  • Corporate Strategy

  • Customer & Growth Strategy

  • Organizational Strategy


As a Senior Associate, you will focus primarily on developing the foundational skillsets for becoming a professional management consultant. This will occur through delivery of client engagements and contributing to the capability of the firm. Senior Associates build competencies in relationship management, project management, and facilitation. You will learn methodologies and toolsets for analysis, problem solving and logical information design. You will be responsible for efficiently managing your workload to budget and learning how to apply technical skills across our various solutions. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Performing detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations

  • Utilizing and continuously learning new technologies to collaborate with team members and enhance service delivery

  • Utilizing various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate method and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate data, costs and benefits

  • Assisting in strategic planning that integrates multiple client organizations including finance, marketing, IT and business operations and supports the organization's strategy and operational plans

  • Assisting in project implementations that effectively and efficiently meet business objectives and ensure a return on investment

  • Assisting practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate

  • Meeting or exceeding targeted billing hours (utilization)

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field. A Master's degree is a plus. MBA preferred.

  • 2 years of management consulting experience or equivalent required

  • Must be able to demonstrate creative problem solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping.

  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Must be intellectually curious and motivated to develop professionally, including pursuit and attainment of industry recognized professional certifications.

  • Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects

  • Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job and self-directed training

  • 80% travel required

Splunk is seeking an analytical and strategic operation's leader to join the Global Go-To-Market Strategy & Operations Team (Senior Manager and individual contributor). This individual will be a key business partner and trusted advisor to our Global Sales Engineering team. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): * Be the lead business partner for our Global Head of Sales Engineering * Lead all Sales Engineering Fiscal Year Planning process * Establish and maintain Sales Engineering KPI scorecards * Coordinate cross-functional GTM strategic projects * Be the voice of the Global Sales Engineering team to our broader GTM and company leadership team You are data driven, system savvy, intellectually curious, a fast learner, detail oriented and able to move quickly while keeping focused on high impact projects with limited direction and supervision. Responsibilities Planning – Work with global leadership teams as well as cross functional leaders (Sales, HR, Finance, Product, Marketing, etc.) to design and execute the technical sales coverage strategy, determine the resources required to execute the plan, align on strategies and execution plan with our direct sales teams, and socialize the plan with the broader GTM team. This person will be the strategic voice of the Sales Engineering team. Execution – Manage day-to-day operational tasks, including but not limited to headcount and resourcing allocation, run and maintain key important metrics, prepare SE Leadership teams for business reviews, improve processes and increase efficiencies for the organization as well as for the sales operations group. Reporting & Analytics – Ensure key dashboards and reports are accurate and relevant. Leverage existing and/or new applications to improve delivery technology. Collaborate with senior management to refine important metrics and interpret results into actionable recommendations. Identify trends to improve business results including lead conversion, lead management and pipeline reporting. Project Management – Ensure surgical execution of the strategies across the various GTM functions.
