Strategy Intern

If you have a keen interest in how consumers think, and like having the numbers to back it up, this internship is for you! The Strategy intern supports the needs of the Strategy Practice by digging up incredible fact-based insights about a client's brand and their business challenges. A true super sleuth, you'll identify target audiences and help discover key insights for client needs. Unrelentingly curious the Strategy intern helps find solutions to problems, and gives purpose to the big idea.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support Strategists on existing client work and new business proposals

  • Develop fresh insights after conducting analysis and research to understand client brand, audiences and business environment

  • Identify new sources of information that provide teams with trends, market analysis and relevant points of view that will enhance our ability to meet client needs

  • Participate in developing the creative brief, articulating key insights and a clear point of view

  • Enter, track, and report pipeline activity for prospective and existing clients through the company client relationship management system

  • Collaborate actively with other account team members to ensure effective connections through all agency disciplines relative to client work

What you'll bring to Jack:

  • College Degree, or degree in progress. Great fits: Degrees in Anthropology, Psychology, English, Journalism, Statistics/Analytics, and anyone who is a legit Googling genius.

  • Independent thinking, which you are not afraid to share with the team

  • Excellent attention to detail in any project you complete

  • Keen curiosity in understanding consumers and the brands they love.

Projects could include any of Deloitte's four specific functional businesses; Audit, Tax, Consulting or Advisory, or may also be focused on new services and businesses, channels (e.g., clients, industry sectors, geographies) or services that cross functional business lines. The Business Analyst Summer Intern will have opportunities to interact with senior leaders in the organization and also assist in the execution of various special projects which have the potential to significantly impact our organization Work you'll do * Contribute to and building analytical frameworks and conduct complex business analysis * Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis including external market sizing, internal and external financial analyses, competitive analyses, etc. * Conduct internal and external research, issues analysis * Research solutions, frameworks and methodologies to address specific project needs * Develop components of executive level presentations and reports that support completed analysis Qualifications Required: * Strong technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) * Strong analytical, research, and presentation skills * Strong qualitative & quantitative analysis skills * Knowledge of growth & expansion strategies and scenario/trend analysis * Ability to synthesize large sets of data and integrate into meaningful reports and recommendations * Critical thinking skills with ability to execute on the details * Strong interpersonal and team building skills * Diplomacy, poise, maturity and empathy are all key attributes for success. * Relevant undergraduate degree with 0-2 years post-undergraduate experience Preferred: * Strong academic track record (minimum 3.5 GPA) How you'll grow Throughout the internship program, we want to give you a true taste of life at Deloitte.
