Core Duties/Responsibilities

The Role

We are searching for a Strategy Director to join our team in NYC. This person will help develop and lead the strategic vision for the B2B segment of one of the world's most valuable brands. You will be essential to the continued success of our creative work which is fully integrated across experiential, social, digital and traditional media.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with clients to create messaging strategies that position the brand uniquely and establish relevance across industries, business segments, and target audiences

  • Develop communications and campaign plans that elevate brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and generate opportunities for marketing and sales

  • Develop personas representing the client's target customers and create experience maps and align campaign tactics to a customers' journey

  • Partner closely with your counterparts in Creative, inspiring fresh, original ideas that are rooted in culture, and in human and business insight

  • Work with strategy specialists from our diverse agency network to bring your ideas and plans to life across digital, social, experiential and sales enablement programs

Who you will be

  • A strategic thinker who has 10 or more years of marketing experience w/5+ years focused on B2B

  • Curious, naturally inclined to uncover the forces that drive buyer behaviors

  • Insightful, capable of recognizing hidden patterns and helping others connect the dots

  • Creative, able to provoke new ideas and uncover solutions to challenging problems

  • Eloquent, skillful and persuasive with verbal and written communication

  • Empathetic, able to recognize and understand the feelings and perspectives of others

  • Tech-savvy, comfortable talking tech to technologists and translating for other audiences

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area required (not necessarily advertising)

Qualifications * Direct or database marketing background, experience with consulting or analytics projects in Interactive marketing, including email. * Strong quantitative and analytical skills required. * Ability to quickly relate to a company's business and key executives at clients - most likely Vice Presidents and Directors of marketing - in order to provide credible and objective advice. Preferred Skills and Experience * Degree in an analytical/consulting/management discipline is ideal, MBA preferred. * Strong presentation and public-speaking skills. * Previous consulting experience. * Previous management experience with small- to mid-sized teams.
